Interestingly enough, the mathematical field was not her first choice. She has a passion for what she teaches and doesn’t seem to see herself doing anything else. Reardigan has been an educator for twenty-eight years with this year marking her twenty-sixth at Washington Township High School. No teacher seems as shocked and honored when receiving such an honor as Geometry teacher Janet Reardigan. Most educators who receive this award seem very humble after the announcement and are very gracious and thankful that their efforts have been recognized. Many teachers strive for this, to be someone that can change a life or make learning easier or more fun for a student. The Teacher of the Year award is an honor that recognizes the stellar work of two of our educators who have shaped the lives of students and their coworkers alike.
